Frank Reynolds' Little PinkHats...

I'm not sure what's more embarrassing.  The Patriots performance on Sunday, the Patriots fans performance on Sunday, or the kid diddling scandal that's currently unfolding at Penn St.  OK, it's obviously the kid diddling (apparently that sick bastard, Jerry Sandusky didn't listen to Frank Reynolds), but it's the Pats fans, and not their performance, that come in second on that list, and it's not even close...

That fancy OUTER hat is just covering for his inner PinkHat
It's something I've been preaching for a long time, but when the fans at Gillette Staidum booed the Patriots off the field in the 3rd quarter, my dislike for the "faithful" that funnel into that building on a weekly basis hit new heights.  Really? Booing just because, on this particular day they can't seem to score?  And, what's worse, having those boos being the loudest sound that's come out of that stadium since Drew Bledsoe stepped on the field at halftime?  Just flat out embarrassing...

I'm not saying this team, with it's Hall of Fame coach and QB, are above criticism (Lord knows they deserve some these days), but boos should reign down because of some perceived ineptitude, not just because your team isn't winning a game you feel they should.  It's just some of the basic football and fan etiquette that the PinkHats, concerned more with which throwback jersey they'll wear to look cool tailgaiting, still don't seem to have a handle on.  They expect to show up, have a good time, and watch the Patriots win.  When that doesn't happen, they get confused, and they get upset.  They're like 3 year olds.  Aware of very little that goes on around them, and at their loudest when their whining and throwing a tantrum...

But, whatever.  Like I said, this isn't anything new, it's just that with this latest display, I couldn't resist...

What? I can't even SEE!
As for the scandal at Penn St., that's obviously as sick as it gets.  There's a special kind of Hell, for sick bastards like Jerry Sandusky, and I hope both he, and that program, get what's coming to them.  I'm sure they won't, but it's always nice to hold out hope that the world isn't as unfair as you know, deep down, that it actually is.  It's way too late for any meaningful justice in this case, but it sure would be nice to see both Sandusky, and that program, at least temporarily wiped off the face of the Earth.  Sandusky for good, but I don't think the whole city of State College, and all of those fans, should have to suffer eternally just because a few of the higher ups made some morally reprehensible decisions.  Then again, that means life would have to be fair, and as previously stated, we all know that's not the case...
